Meet Floss

About me

Hi, I’m Floss—founder of Flossophy and Yoga:

yoga teacher, scholar-practitioner, and lifelong student of philosophy, spirituality, and embodied practice.

I am passionate about embodied philosophy as a way of life - enquiring through theory and practice - in pursuit of meaning, value and goodness,

With a background in Social Anthropology and a Master’s degree in Philosophy of Religion from the University of Cambridge, my work explores the deep connections between body, mind, spirit, and culture. I specialise in making the history and philosophy of yoga accessible and alive—not as abstract ideas, but as practical, embodied tools to support how we live, teach, and relate.

I’ve been teaching yoga for 6-years after completing my 200-hour Traditional Tantra and Hatha Yoga training in India in 2019. Since then, I’ve continued to deepen my practice with further study in embodied anatomy, vinyasa, meditation, and breathwork, alongside over three years of graduate study in philosophy, theology, and Sanskrit.

What ties it all together is a love for enquiry—into how yoga can help us live with more meaning, authenticity, and presence. Whether you’re a practitioner or a teacher, my offerings are rooted in this invitation to explore yoga not only on the mat, but as a transformative path of reflection, embodiment, and connection.

Through online and in-person courses, workshops, and community spaces, I aim to support others in weaving philosophy and embodied awareness into their everyday lives.

If you're a yoga teacher, practitioner, or training school looking for guidance on integrating yoga philosophy and embodied practice into your teaching or training, I’d love to hear from you.

Floss is an amazing teacher who balances the meditative side of yoga with fitness beautifully. She always ensures there are lots of options and adjustments for all levels, and her class is something for me to look forward to every week!

Floss has an original, explorative and inspiring yoga style that brings me back to her classes time and again. As one of her students, and yoga teacher myself, I can wholeheartedly recommend her. There is a depth and intelligence to her classes because she engages you with both the anatomical processes and the more holistic yoga philosophy. She draws on her Tantric yoga training and her more recent education in embodied yoga, and through her classes, teaches students to find their own connection to their bodies and to this wisdom. You can expect a gently challenging and informative class given by a fun, friendly teacher.

The classes have been fantastic, and the variety between classes has kept it fun and interesting. The poses always have options to make them harder or easier which I’ve found to be really good! Overall the classes are amazing, the general environment of the classes is very relaxing and I’ve found them to be super enjoyable.
