The Embodied Yoga Fundamentals Series
Want to learn more about your anatomy, discovering alignment and connection in your yoga practice so that you both have a better understanding of the yoga poses you regularly practice, and they feel the best they can for you? Then this Embodied Yoga Fundementals series is for you! Â Building on Embodied Anatomy, inspired by The Franklin Method, in this series we will break down key areas of the body anatomically before embodying our anatomy, taking a non-dogmatic approach of self-enquiry to honour individual bodies as we discover yoga and movement in a way that works for us.
Part 2 - The Spine: Forward Bends, Back Bends, Twists.
Sundays from the 29th of September to the 27th of October, 4.30 - 6pm
Over 6-weeks, we will deep dive into the anatomy of our spine, breaking down poses and exploring them in our body. Expect to explore bones, muscles, fascia, natural movement patterns, joints, breath and philosophy as you connect to your body and transform your relationship to your yoga practice and posture.
Through this series, you can expect to:
✅Break down anatomy including bones, muscles, fascia, joints, the subtle body and our natural movement patterns to better understand how the body works.
✅Translate anatomical understanding into embodied enquiry, as we explore our own anatomy through movement, conversation, and practice, acknowledging we will all have unique experiences of our body and our anatomy!
✅Experience super focussed classes with clear progression over the weeks, recapping and building on what we have already learnt to deepen our practice of embodied self-enquiry.
✅Cover all major poses/positions in yoga related to the spine, giving you excellent foundations for your practice going forward.Â
✅Experience mall group sizes with lots of 1-2-1 attention, time for questions and discussion.
✅Recieve hands on assists as optional to deepen into poses and embodied enquiry.
✅Take home practices to continue to explore in your own time between sessions.
✅Explore in a safe space where you can connect to yourself and your body.
✅Build community with others while deepening your practice and self understanding!
